Farm Field Trips
Farm field trips were taken Monday through Thursday each week of farm camp. Campers visited a different farm each day. Field trips lasted 45 minutes to an hour. Transportation was contracted through local school districts.
On Fridays at the Fulton and Morrison camps, we had Abby Koch-Huizenga of Honeygirl Honey come to the camps and talk about how she raises honey bees and the process of making honey. Abby brought an empty hive for campers to see the honeycomb and all of the gear she uses when working with the bees. Campers had the chance to sample different types of honey, as well.
Listed below are each camp and the farms we visited.
